Description
ETHIBOND EXCEL™ Suture, CT-1, Size 0, Green, 8" x 18" is a sterile, nonabsorbable surgical suture composed of braided polyester fibers. It is manufactured from high molecular weight, long-chain, linear polyesters, specifically poly(ethylene terephthalate), which contribute to its high tensile strength and long-term durability in tissue.
The braided construction of the suture enhances pliability and flexibility, ensuring excellent handling and ease of use during suturing. The consistent braid provides uniform tensile properties along the strand, while the structure supports secure knot placement and minimized fraying during passage through tissue.
The CT-1 needle is a 1/2 circle taper point needle designed for atraumatic soft tissue penetration. Its configuration is particularly suited for general soft tissue approximation, including use in gastrointestinal, gynecologic, and subcutaneous closures. The green color provides high visibility during surgical application.
